Spiral n.2

SPIRAL is a new annual independent publication created with the aim of bridging the gap between sport and culture.
Each issue is spiral bound, features a variety of paper stocks and focuses on a particular theme that links voices from the art, design, music and fashion sectors.

ISSUE 2- FUTURE
When does the present end and the future begin? It's a question we had in mind as we approached the second edition of SPIRAL.
The future is always rooted in some kind of fantasy - a utopia that is both a promise and a lie. Football, like the country that spawned it, has always reflected both of these polarities.
Spiral issue 2 uses this premise as a starting point for addressing what the future of football could reserve.
Is it a future worth celebrating or more or less the same? We explore everything from the rise of the NFL, to how data is redefining how we consume the game, Fox Sports' Cleatus, Tom Brady's eternal pursuit of immortality, the international voices that make the sport grow abroad.
We have selected a list of international artists, writers, designers and photographers who have shared their love for football, including a special version of Pete Sharp's HALFTIME and interviews with Chris Godwin, PLAYLAB, YGTUT and OUR LEGACY.
SPIRAL Issue II features over 200 pages with timeless graphics and photographs and inspiring journalism.
