Pillage is a new independent LGBTQ + magazine described by its publishers as "a magazine by and for sex-positive types", which blends independent media, new online realities and historical context. The publication reflects the realities of queer life and is a blend of independent fashion magazines, the ways we might think and express ourselves sexually today, particularly in relation to the Internet; and references to the history of the LGBTQ + movement.
Pillage was founded by Nicolas Santos, creative director and founder of the independent publishing house In Present Tense, and Benjamin Kirchhoff, who works mainly as a stylist. The couple formed with the goal of creating a magazine that explored "personal and as yet untold realities surrounding sex." Pillage is a magazine dedicated to contemporary sexual culture that, unfiltered, openly discusses modern realities of sexual practices, shows complex artists and raises questions to generate dialogues with readers.

The debut issue of this independent magazine contains interviews with the likes of Miron Zownir, Anton Stoianov, Hermes Cevera, Dan Kane, Michael Sayles by Stefano Pilati and David Lindert. The whole is littered with announcements, contacts for community and non-governmental organizations, and information on queer archives, museums and libraries. In addition to giving voice to the life and lived experience of LGBTQ + individuals, the publication also aims to promote a sense of community, without "no projection, no idealization, no censorship and no filter".
