NXS WORLD n.6

¥5,600

NXS WORLD is a biennial magazine based in the Netherlands and printed in Lithuania, the result of an experimental research project on the function of the individual in the digital age.
The magazine tells with multidisciplinary contributions, from written texts to interviews to graphic works, how technologies profoundly change our being, between apathy from social networks and total immersion in capitalism.
The direction of the magazine is by Monika Gruzite, Karolien Buurman and Florian Mecklenburg, who select and coordinate the contents and, outside the pages of paper in life, they engage in research in the field of arts and graphics, organizing exhibitions, workshops and creating their works always in the line of research on man's approach to technology.
The graphic research is particularly accurate and presents a slim magazine in an elongated format with the use of different papers and formats, glossy, opaque, detachable projects and postcard formats.

ISSUE 6
The sixth edition of NXS magazine, Phygital Fashioning, explores the representation, consumption and transmission of digital fashion as one of the key mediators of the collective and individual public construction of the Self. How do these new ways of dressing communicate our identity and how do we want others to perceive us? What complications does the digitization and democratization of this form of self-expression entail? Using digital fashion as a lens, contributors to this issue contemplate what their findings might say about the biggest changes within an increasingly global and digital society.
