Pfeil Magazine is the independent magazine of Montez Press, a publishing house specializing in artist's books based in London, New York and Hamburg.
Pfeil should be understood as a sort of curatorial space within which different artists are invited to reflect and work on a single word, the leitmotif of the entire magazine, which changes from issue to number.

ISSUE 14 - NATURE
The ends "nature"comes from the old French nature and means to be, the principle of life; character, essence. The word itself derives from the Latin nature, that is to say course of things; natural character, constitution, quality; universe.
In this issue Pfeil tries once again to revisit and reflect on the term Nature.
In times of climate and health emergencies, the editors of this magazine try to discuss cultural mimicry, the language of trees, of how natural resources can change in their value and meaning. There is also an interesting focus on the theory of evolution read from a feminist point of view.
