Exactly forty years after the release of the first issue and ten years after its closure, like a phoenix rising from its ashes, it returns "the most beautiful magazine in the world", that FMR born in 1982 from the mind of Franco Maria Ricci with the aim of giving Italy the primacy of the most beautiful art magazine ever seen. 

When it was born, in 1982, it was greeted with amazement: it told the beauties created by men in a new and spectacular way, made possible by an editorial look that had never been seen before. It quickly became the world's most popular art magazine.
Times have changed, but the purpose of FMR remains the same: to amaze the reader with the elegance and beauty of niche print media by offering an elegant collector's magazine with a classic taste.

The new FMR moves in space and time without boundaries of art, architecture, design, where every surprise, every adventure of the eye is transformed into a stimulus for the imagination and for the mind.

ISSUE 1 

From the Nobel laureate Orhan Pamuk who tells us about the extraordinary project of a museum - which we see in the photographs of Massimo Listri - where all the objects recall a lost love, to the suffused and minimalist interiors of the Danish painter Vilhelm Hammershøi, populated by enigmatic female figures; from the extravagant sculptures of the Scuola Grande di San Rocco, the work of Francesco Pianta who carves wood with a rough and refined technique, to the private and little-known portrait of the great archaeologist Winckelmann, an excellent scholar but with very human habits and weaknesses.

The columns write Dacia Maraini, Héctor Abad Faciolince and talk about Futurist Aeropainting and auctions by great painters, still subject to fluctuating valuations.
